1 Day / 1 Night Group Safari Mikumi National Park

Pick you up at Mikumi Bus terminal and drive to the Camp Bastian or any other hotel of the same standard for check in and lunch.

After lunch join other travelers and drive into the park for afternoon game viewing. Mikumi park is rich in game animals such as elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffe, elands,impalas and more. The reserve is also said to host over 400 species of birds which makes it to be among the best places for bird watching.

Later in the evening drive back to the camp / hotel for dinner and overnight.

In the next day we shall help you with a transfer to the bust terminal for you bus back to Dar es Salaam.

Day 1: Drive to Mikumi national park.

Our driver guide will come to pick you from the hotel in Dar es Salaam at 06:00 am to start your 2 days Mikumi Safari. You will drive through the Morogoro highway where along the way you will enjoy the beautiful view of the changing landscapes, rolling hills, small towns and scattered villages.  Arrive Mikumi in the mid day and stop in one of the public picnic site where you will take your picnic lunch while enjoy the stunning view of the surrounding bushes. You shouldn’t surprise to see some monkeys come to greet you and even still your meals. After the meals continue with the game drives in different areas of the park including the Mkata floodplains and the waterholes. Game viewing safari in Mikumi national park is excellent as the park support a large population of wildlife includes elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopars, hyenas, giraffes, elands, greater kudus, zebra, wildebeest, hartebeest, varied species of antelopes, hippos, reptiles and different species of birds. On  Day 1 of the breathtaking 3 days Mikumi Safari, we’ll start by picking you up from your hotel or the airport in Dar es Salaam. To beat the morning traffic, we’ll depart at 6:00 am, or we’ll adjust the departure time based on your flight arrival. As we drive along the Dar es Salaam-Morogoro highway, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the coastal region and vast sisal plantations. In Morogoro town, admire the stunning Uluguru Mountains to the south before continuing on the journey towards Mikumi National Park, a total distance of 303 km from Dar es Salaam.
